Niezaspokojony Głód (Fome Sem Fim // Endless Hunger)
Consumimos comida, mas também bens, imagens, conteúdos, relações. Mas será que consumimos apenas quando tentamos satisfazer uma necessidade e o consumo ainda é um meio para um fim ou, pelo contrário, transformou-se no objetivo final?
O consumo, tão antigo quanto a própria vida na Terra, é o combustível que faz mover a máquina do Antropoceno: fazer mais, mais rápido, mais forte, mais barato, melhor… Só que isso implica produção em larga escala e, por consequência, desperdício. Na realidade paradoxal do consumo em massa, quisemos fazer uma pausa, parar por um momento, e examinar o próprio ato de consumo. Será que o consumo pode ser um ato de criação? Uma oportunidade de reflexão crítica e reflexão artística? Acreditamos que sim.
Esta exposição foi criada em parceria com a fundação Kupuj Odpowiedzialnie, dirigida por especialistas em consumo sustentável.
WMA Wirtualne Muzeum Antropocenu é uma instituição cultural virtual. Refletimos sobre as mudanças no meio ambiente relacionadas com a atividade humana e a relação homem-natureza-tecnologia. O Museu Virtual do Antropoceno é uma instituição efémera que aparece onde vale a pena parar e contemplar o rasto de nós, pessoas. Hoje, essa reflexão pode ser praticada de várias maneiras, interdisciplinares e multilingue, combinando a liberdade de expressão criativa com a sensibilidade e precisão das observações científicas.
Somos um coletivo aberto, composto por antropólogos, artistas, designers e pessoas que lidam com a temática do Antropoceno. O Conselho Honorário do Museu é composto por Edwin Bendyk, prof. Ewa Bińczyk, Krzysztof Garbaczewski, prof. Paulina Kramarz, Cecylia Malik, Tomasz Stawiszyński.
Antropoceno é, segundo diversos especialistas, um novo período geológico, também chamado de "Era da Humanidade” definida pelas alterações drásticas provocadas pela ação humana que nos últimos séculos alteraram significativamente o funcionamento e os fluxos naturais do planeta e provocaram intensas mudanças globais na Terra.
We consume food, but also goods, images, content, relationships. But do we consume only when we try to satisfy a need and consumption is still a means to an end or has it become the ultimate goal? Consumption, as old as life itself on Earth, is the fuel that makes the Anthropocene machine move: do more, faster, stronger, cheaper, better ... Except that this implies large-scale production and, consequently, waste. In the paradoxical reality of mass consumption, we wanted to pause, stop for a moment, and examine the act of consumption itself.
Can consumption be an act of creation? An opportunity for critical reflection and artistic reflection? We believe so.
This exhibition was created in partnership with the Kupuj Odpowiedzialnie foundation, led by specialists in sustainable consumption.
WMA Wirtualne Muzeum Antropocenu is a virtual cultural institution that reflects on changes in the environment related to human activity and the relationship between man, nature and technology. The Virtual Museum of the Anthropocene is an ephemeral institution that appears where it is worth stopping by and contemplating the trail of us, humankind. Today, this reflection can be practiced in several ways, interdisciplinary and multilingual, combining freedom of creative expression with the sensitivity and precision of scientific observations.

Anthropocene is, according to several experts, a new geological period, also called “The Age of Humanity" defined by the drastic changes caused by human action that in the last centuries significantly altered the functioning and the natural flows in the planet and caused intense global changes on Earth.
