Patrícia Magalhães (Luanda, Angola), vivo e trabalho em Lisboa. Estudei desenho e pintura na Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa e no ArCo – Centro de Arte & Comunicação Visual, também em Lisboa. Considero-me uma artista visual interdisciplinar, com um corpo de trabalho centrado maioritariamente no desenho onde se evidencia a contaminação com outras áreas, como a pintura ou a fotografia. A minha prática estrutura-se fundamentalmente em três eixos que se interligam - as Pedras, o Tempo e as Histórias - e que funcionam como territórios de investigação contínua, atravessando diferentes materiais, referências e modos de produção. Desde 2019 tenho apresentado regularmente o meu trabalho em exposições individuais e coletivas, em Portugal e internacionalmente, estando representada em coleções públicas e privadas, entre as quais as coleções de Livros de Artista da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian e da Fundação Serralves e o Arquivo Ephemera.

Patrícia Magalhães (Luanda, Angola), lives and works in Lisbon. She studied drawing and painting at the Lisbon University of Fine Arts and also at ArCo – Center for Art & Visual Communication, in Lisbon. She considers herself an interdisciplinary visual artist, with a body of work mainly centered on drawing although contamination with other areas is visible, such as painting and photography. My practice is structured around three interconnected axes - Stones, Time, and Stories - which serve as territories for ongoing investigation, spanning diverse materials, references, and modes of production. Since 2019, I have regularly presented my work in solo and group exhibitions in Portugal and internationally, and my work is represented in public and private collections, including the Artist's Book collections of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Serralves Foundation, as well as the Ephemera Archive.
